Description

This group is for small holder horse owners, breeders, trainers, etc., to be able to give their input to the NAIS Equine Woring Group. In my research of the various species work groups, it has come to my attention that government agencies and large breed/marketing organizations are well represented. The small holders, that is people who own only a few or even only one, of the affected animal species/breeds, and the segments of the livestock inducstries that serve us, are conspicuous in their absence.
I aim to remedy that. It is my hope that those members of the Equine Working Group will listen to our concerns and take them into consideration in formulating their recomendations to the USDA/APHIS.
So come on in, pull up a bale of straw, and let us all know what you think.

This is very BAD news!! This case sets a terrible precedent for every one of us if NAIS is made mandatory in either our own states or nationwide. Karen
