Kevin Williams writes: It's Time For Volunteer "Flatliner" Experiments!

QUESTION: Is there any research that has been done where a human
becomes clinically dead and is then brought back to life?

ANSWER: I will assume you are referring to so-called "Flatliner"
experiments of the kind seen in the excellent movie "Flatliners" with
Kiefer Sutherland. By the way, Kiefer's father (Donald Sutherland)
had an actual NDE which I describe in my Hollywood NDE page.
"Flatliner" experiments are not going on as far as I know, but there

*** Dr. David San Filippo's Doctorate Dissertation
"The Value of the Awareness of NDEs for Reducing Fears of Death
for Elderly Persons"
David's research examined the meaning of the awareness of reports of
NDEs for elderly individuals and whether such awareness may help
reduce their fears of death. The participants of this research were
40 dementia-free elderly people between the ages of 67 and 95
(28 women and 12 men) who were living in 2 independent living
facilities. The findings suggest that the sharing of accounts of NDEs
may help the elderly cope with fears of death, and may provide
counselors with an additional resource to use to help those elderly
individuals who fear death.
