SolidWorks' new Print3D feature gives designers instant access to rapid prototyping

One click enables SolidWorks users to order any type of model part from rapid prototyping service bureaus

CONCORD, Mass., Oct. 29, 2003 - SolidWorks Corporation today put rapid prototyping within a mouse click of every engineer with Print3D, a new feature in SolidWorks 2004 software that gives users immediate access to the most effective rapid prototyping technologies in the industry, including stereolithography (SLA), fused deposition modeling (FDM), selective laser sintering, and rapid injection molding. Fast access to rapid prototypes cuts time from the design process because, despite rapid advances in display technology, working with the real physical object is still the fastest, most intuitive, and most accurate way to review designs.
