 Prentice Hall bundles SolidWorks Student Design Kit to engineering 

design textbooks to be used in nearly 400 colleges in the U.S. and Canada

 

 

CONCORD, Mass., July 2, 2001 - SolidWorks Corporation and Prentice Hall Higher Education, a division of Pearson Education, announced that Prentice Hall will bundle SolidWorks' three dimensional (3D) computer-aided design (CAD) software with several of Prentice Hall's leading engineering graphics textbooks sold in the U.S. and Canada. Prentice Hall will distribute the SolidWorks Student Design Kit free with each first-year engineering textbook sold this fall. Prentice Hall decided to bundle CAD software with its textbooks to increase students' exposure to accessible, 3D CAD software for designing a variety of engineering projects in school and throughout their careers.
