Dear Evan:

Thank you for your interest in my work. I seem to recall we had spoken in
the past when I was in America.

There are two aspects to the treatment of inventors.

1) Inventors who come up with inventions are highly protective of their work
being that they have spent substantial time and money achieving their goal.
They know the mendacious amorality of the world of money and business. In
order to succeed in this world takes a combination of luck, skill, finance,
and a good idea. Only some succeed.

2) Energy, applied through science, motivates the civilized world. It is
more basic than money, which is only a paper promise. The inventor is the
wild card in the world of finance. A new source of energy could bring down
the empire.

Yes, I along with Joe Newman and Robert Adams truly know the magnitude of
the beast.

I make all my ideas public as I see myself more as a basic physical
scientist and teacher than an inventor.

My solution was to leave the United States to find a place where I was not
altogether encouraged but not discouraged. I am much happier here in New
Zealand.

Thank you for the Email of the two faxes you received. I am not surprised
to see the big boys are at work. The handwriting is on the wall.

I had read some of Ehrenhaft's work in the past. It shows we don't know all
there is to know about light, magnetism and electricity.

My theory is that there is no theory. All we know is what we know from
experience. My advice to Joe is to go where he might be appreciated. Where
he is going and where America is heading are two separate directions.

Bruce DePalma was teaching photographic science and electrical engineering
at Massachusetts Institute of Technology part time while employed as Senior
Scientist for Polaroid Land Corporation in the late 1960's. The hippie
counterculture's "question authority" maxim had penetrated even the
Ivory Tower of the Ivy League there, at least this was Bruce's speculation
as to why one of his more brilliant students asked him in class about
the Leaning Tower of Pisa experiment by Galileo that symbolically marks
the "beginning of science as the empirical study of truth".

His student asked in class, "what if instead of a big rock and a small rock,
Galileo had dropped two identical objects with one spinning. Would its
spin change its rate of fall?" Realizing that such a result would "change
everything in science today" because it would violate all known physics
theories at the time, but also being a good teacher, he simply replied,
"I'm not sure if that experiment has ever been done."

And he assigned his student the project of helping to conduct a scientific
literature search to see if it had been done. When they could find no
record of it reported in the scientific literature since Galileo's time,
he decided to do the experiment as a teaching exercise in carefully
controlled scientific experimental protocol and technique. Done as a
photographic science project for class, he and his student Edward
Delvers photographed with a sixty-cycle strobe light the relative
trajectories of a spinning (18k rpm) vs a non-spinning one-inch
diameter pinball machine ball-bearing -- each simultaneously
given the same thrust upward at a 45degree angle.

They found that the spinning ball bearing went up to a higher point in
its trajectory, fell faster, and hit the ground before the non-spinning
ball-bearing! This result is still unexplainable by accepted modern science
"theories," perhaps the main reason for its rejection out-of-hand by
American theoretical physics community luminaries such as
Dr. John Archibald Wheeler who personally witnessed the stationary
drop version of this experiment, but still to this day denies his own
eyes (personal empirical observation) apparently in favor of his
"religious belief" in modern physics theories.

It's Galileo all over again! His excommunication by the Catholic Church
over this matter was only rescinded by the Vatican in 1984.

And in the 20th Century, a guy named Bruce DePalma was quickly
"excommunicated" from the "religion of post World War Two science" --
as it has been corrupted thusly still today by the "Uncertainty Principle"
of Adolph Hitler's Dr. Wehrner Heisenberg whose mentality still poisons
the world today by acceptance of his "scientific refutation" of the human
mind's very ability to believe in, and comprehend, the absolute nature of
truth.

And still DePalma's experiments are unrecognized due to the prejudice of a
scientific community with vested interests in "pet theories" contradicted by
these empirical results! This is another dimension of what the Wall Street
Journal Science Columnist labeled "pathological science" as restricting the
normally open free flow of information in science to the detriment of the
development of free energy technologies such as the "cold fusion" genre
authenticated by that September 5, 2003, Wall Street Journal article.

This video about Bruce DePalma explains in his own words how this first
experiment led to more, all demonstrating anomalous variable inertial,
gravitational, and electromagnetic properties of physical objects that are
induced by rotation -- effects that he experimentally deduced and quantified
as caused by a previously unsuspected interaction of rotation with an
"energy field extant in the space in which matter resides".

The last of these experiments was his n-Machine, an electric power generator
needing no fuel that produces electricity from a rotating magnetic disc,
"liberating" or "extracting" or "transforming" it from this energy field
which his experiments (not "theory") showed exists as a property of space
itself, the space in which matter resides. The n-Machine was first built
and tested in Santa Barbara, California, as the S-Machine of 1979.
DePalma's "n-Machine" tests were then witnessed by representatives of
the United States Department of Energy, but only in 1998 did DOE first
reference the n-Machine it in its Comprehensive National Energy Strategy
(CNES) report to Congress in 1998.

After studying the rotation experiments of Bruce DePalma and
Ed Delvers in the 1970's, especially due their successful prediction
and independent confirmations regarding what he called the n-Effect
and related n-Machine overunity power generator, the nagging
question comes up as to why nothing more significant has happened
with this information in over thirty years. More importantly, how to
make it happen in the future, the replacement of nuclear and fossil
fuel power with the "free energy" technologies portended by this work.

Many of DePalma's friends considered Bruce's arrogance as his own
worst enemy, regarding getting more serious attention paid to his work.
Arrogance perhaps a symptom of his "upper class" family upbringing
as the son of a prominent orthopedic surgeon and older brother of film
maker Brian DePalma, but few things would get Bruce upset more
than the internal rage he felt towards people questioning his honesty
and integrity and clearly demonstrated ability and precision applied
to "what you see is what you get" laboratory experiments. He did not
"suffer fools lightly", especially obviously prejudiced and underqualified
"critics" who not once tried to duplicate these experiments because
in their view the anomalous unexplainable results would invalidate
their own world view. But unfortunately, arrogance does not invalidate
scientific discoveries, no matter the degree of anomalous unexplainable
results, no matter whether existing "theories" can explain these results.
Even when such discoveries were made by such a man who was
criticized late in life for an overly agressive homosexual lifestyle,
another aspect of Bruce DePalma which limited how "close" people
wanted to be associated with him personally. This along with his use of
cannabis hemp enraged many to the point of blinding prejudice to the
truth of the matter.

Sadly the "gold fever factor," associated with the imagined unfathomable
riches available to the business people who control the implementation
of new power technologies, was a repeated obstacle he faced in his
"investors" and financial supporters' attitudes over the years since the
early 1980's when his student and assistant of ten years Ed Delvers
moved on to other things after Bruce got "freaked out" by that November
1980 phone call from Edgar Mitchell warning him "watch out what you do
with this in Santa Barbara or you might get your head blown off". A warning
Mitchell acknowledge by email in 2003, but saying this was a personal
comment, not anything official from the CIA as per DePalma's interpretation.

How can we help bring the work and life efforts of Bruce DePalma to fruition
for the benefit of humanity? We can study his experiments and give their
information to those in the scientific community who have sufficient honesty
and integrity to help evaluate and replicate these results for proper
scientific literature publication. We can study and understand and help
implement the work of other scientists and inventors in this "free energy"
technology genre, especially paying more serious attention to those
whose work Bruce was aware of, and felt he understood, such as

struggling financially without proper funding sources?

Because Bruce DePalma was a real Man of Science and is among
its most rarified outer circle: Men of Truth in direct touch with reality.

The best memorial for Bruce and Ed would be to establish a Delvers-DePalma
Memorial Scientific Research Trust Fund to garner and offer such funding
to other such scientists and inventors still now struggling to bring their
work to fruition for the benefit of humanity and all life on Earth,
