NGDeveloper Group in Nigeria is an open forum for developers to exchange knowledge about the NET Framework and related technologies. We meet every fortnight on Saturdays 10 am for presentations on .NET and networking with other developers who are learning and using this innovative platform. Between meetings, the group communicates and continues to exchange ideas via emails and scheduled chats. Our initial purpose is to build a community in Lagos around an excellent development platform so that members of the community can produce innovative software products. Recently we’ve been holding meetings to address some issues on low quality of .Net developers from the various tertiary institutions in Nigeria. This is because of the institution’s course curriculum being behind the current state of software development technologies especially on the .Net platform, the low infrastructure and facility available and the lack of R&D that should bring the various institutions inline with Software Development industry, NGDeveloper will also like to extend its activities to hold a monthly forum in tertiary institutions starting with institutions in western Nigeria and build a larger .net Developer community in Nigeria.
