I think in the past we established that the out of sync is in the
recording, not to say that this mighr not be due to a slow hard drive,
but I've played 2 hour long movies (recorded off air then ripped down
in "pocket Divx" for the player and it stays in sync.

I might well try to put in a larger (120 or 160gb) drive and see how
it works out, have a trip coming out and might spend my somewhat
slower days this fall ripping down movies to load on a big drive.
