I have all sales slips (except for the sales slip for the 512 MB
FlashCard, which my brother bought me a month after I bought the
camera).

If you're new to the D100, I can also show you how to clean it.
Cleaning takes about five minutes. This way you don't have to send it
to Nikon and spend a lot of money and waste a lot of time. There's an
internet site that tells you exactly how to clean it, and I've
followed those instructions to the letter and had great success. I
have printed out all the instructions and can include those with the
camera. I have all the necessary equipment to take care of the
cleaning.

The camera has never been dropped. I was very careful with it.

The camera has had off-and-on use. I took photos about every other
day in Panama recently for a little over two months. One day I shot
an outdoor fashion show, put about 300 clicks on it. Other days I did
a hundred or more clicks doing business persons' headshots or
modeling stuff or skyscapes.

The money I made using the camera allowed me to stay in Panama longer
than I had planned. As another photographer down there said, "It's a
money-making machine." Up here in the States I haven't really
pursued photography. I've taken it out three times in the three
months I've been in Gettysburg.

Wear to items

1. The camera BAG has some minor discoloration on the top. I've tried
to clean it, but it doesn't seem to want to get clean. That's one
reason why the camera bag is free.

2. The monitor's plastic cover (not the monitor surface itself, but
the clip-on cover) has some slight scuffing. It's not noticeable when
you're looking through the cover at images you've taken, but only
when you look at the cover at an angle.

3. The black plastic lens hood has a small scratch (about 1/4" long
and 1/64" wide) on the inside, which I filled in a while ago by using
an indelible ink pen. You don't see the scratch unless you're looking
for it.

4. The diopter has a little dust in it, most of which I think was
there from the beginning. I had it professionally cleaned at a place
called Lenore's in Los Angeles before I took my trip down to Central
America, but for $70 he didn't really do much. I never notice this
dust when taking photos, only when I'm playing with it at home. If I
knew how to clean it myself, I would do it, but I'm not sure how to
get into the diopter. Maybe you know. Obviously the dust in the
diopter doesn't affect quality of photos.

5. Extra battery
This particular individual battery may actually be more of a
liability to you than a help (that's why it's free), because it
doesn't always complete its charging. So unless you watch the charger
while it's charging, you never know how much power it has. The
original battery (the one that came with the camera) is fine. It
always charges without problem. It's only the extra battery that
often doesn't charge all the way. You have keep reinserting it in the
charger. Eventually it "takes," but it's an irritation.

If you live close by, you're invited to come down to Gettysburg to
take a look at the camera and take some photos with it.

I want to get paid in cash for the camera.

I have had other inquiries. One person wants the "whole package," and
I just wrote him back with the details this morning. Others want just
the camera, another wants just the lens, one guy wants just the
battery pack. I'd prefer to sell the whole package, though.

The camera does not come with its original packaging, as I tossed
that before I went on my trip to Central America.

Thanks again for writing. Please email if you're still interested.

Yours sincerely,
Jock Doubleday
