Photographic Image Network<br><br>Promotes
international studies project headed by<br>photographer Gerald
Johnson, Sr. The project enlists professional
photographers to mentor anyone with an interest in learning to
use any camera from the weekend novice who uses a
point-and-shoot camera to today's most sophisticated 35mm SLR
cameras.<br><br>The "Sights of New York" is a series of one-day,
weekend photographic excursions to examine the art,
artisans, communities, cultures, social events and nature
retreats of the Big Apple. The mentor programs is offered
year round', but because of limited space it is
offered on a first-come, first-served basis.<br><br>The
mentor project being sponsored by The New York Botanical
~ Zoological Photographic Society. Taught by
veteran photojournalist Gerald Johnson, Sr. The program
offers participants the opportunity to learn about
New<br>York City, develop their photographic skills
and<br>become members of the NYBZPS. Students must provide
their own photo equipment. Deadline for<br>applications
