RE: [nirvislist] Alternate way to connect Slink-E to PC?

Yes you can either purchase an adapter to change the pin configuration to the opposite gender. Or you can aquire a USB to serial adapter. I saw one at tigerdirect.com for around $10…. Good luck!

Subject: [nirvislist] Alternate way to connect Slink-E to PC?

Hi,

I just moved my computers around and I want to connect my Slink-e to the newer one. My problem is that the end that I need to connect to my computer is female and my computer only has a female connection in that size. Is there an adapter I can purchase or can I magically connect my Slink-E using a USB?

Thanks!
michelle

Although there are inexpensive serial to USB adapters, not all of these adapters work well. Because serial data is bidirectional (as is the Slinke), I would...
