Jim Russ

Jim Russ, the Librarian of the New Jersey Computer Club and frequent presenter at the New Jersey Computer Club and the Hunterdon County Computer Club, will demonstrate the Lindows Operating System.

LindowsOS™ 3.0 touts its self as “a new operating system that delivers, stability and the cost savings of Linux® with the easy of windows.”  For $129, a user can obtain a “fully-loaded” system complete (www.lindows.com) with hundreds of top applications such as “Star Office” which is compatible with the Microsoft Office Suite. These applications are available from the Click-N-Run Warehouse available on the Web at: www.lindows.com/warehouse and they can be downloaded and installed with one click of the mouse. Family licensing allows you to use the operating system and programs on multiple computers vs. the old one per machine.
