This coming Wednesday, December 14th, is our Annual NJCC Holiday Party with our
Chinese Auctions and a presentation by Smart Computing Magazine.

Please remember to bring your favorite holiday food, snack, or drink to share
with all on this special occasion. The NJCC will provide coffee only for this
meeting. Please also remember that the North Branch Reformed Church is a NUT
FREE FACILITY (due to potential severe allergic reactions of children). NO NUTS
OF ANY SORT can be brought into the facility in or with any food items.

Jen Clausen, User Group Representative from Smart Computing Magazine
http://www.smartcomputing.com , will show the value of their magazines through
an issue of Smart Computing, convey the value of their web site through a live
demo, and introduce attendees to Smart Computing's sister publications.

Our regular Chinese Auction will feature useable software and hardware donated
by members. Please bring in items to donate to this. We would prefer Pentium
level and Windows 98 or above. If it is NOT sold please bring it back home with
you! We can NOT dispose of unsold items at the church! Three Free tickets will
be available to members with the option to purchase an unlimited amount of $1
tickets for bidding on these items.

A special Chinese Auction for NJCC Members ONLY will feature new software and
other items donated from past presenters to the NJCC. Tickets will be priced at
$3 each (or $10 for four tickets), and all proceeds will benefit the NJCC
Memorial Award Fund.

Please note the following important New Jersey Computer Club messages:

1) The New Jersey Computer Club has received a very generous donation to our
NJCC Memorial Award Scholarship program from Adobe Systems Incorporated of
multiple retail copies of "Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Windows XP" and
"Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 for Windows XP". Each of these programs lists for
$100, but NJCC members may purchase them on a first come first served basis for
only $40 each (while supplies last)! Details on these excellent software

won the top award for anti-spyware software from PC Magazine, PC World, Smart
Computing, TopTenReviews, etc. There is excellent detailed comparison of it to

3) We will need help starting at 5:30 PM to set up tables, chairs, and Chinese
Auction items. We will also need help in selling tickets. Please arrive early
and help us with this! The Special Chinese Auction (for members only) will NOT
be started until AFTER all set up is completed! At the end of the meeting we
will also need help with cleanup and closing the facility. Please volunteer to
help with one or more of these activities.
