To all,

Please find below the scheduled NJCC Meeting Presentations for the Fall of 2006.
We hope you will be able to attend them. Please also feel free to bring a guest
or two.

SEPTEMBER 13th: "Dave Whittle's Latest Software and Services Dscoveries"

David B. Whittle, a long time presenter at the New Jersey Computer Club, will
return on September 13th with his favorite discoveries from recent trade shows
that open up new horizons of possibility or solve problems you might be facing.

His presentation will include software that takes your digital photos and video
footage and transforms it into a movie on DVD or CD; software to convert digital
pictures into a 3-dimensional picture that can be viewed from any direction; and
a fantastic new and comprehensive Internet security service for your PC. Dave
will also provide time for questions and will bring valuable door prizes,
informative handouts, and actual product for sale at significantly discounted
prices arranged exclusively for NJCC members.

Products that Dave will present will include:

MUVEE AUTOPRODUCER 5™ (http://www.muvee.com) an easy and elegant digital media
software that enables even beginners to create home movies and DVDs that are
professional in appearance in record time and with outstanding simplicity.

PHOTOVISTA PANORAMA 3.5 (http://www.iseemedia.com/) that takes a series of
photos taken with the same camera from the same location and automatically
stitches them together to provide users with a 360-degree, interactive,
immersive view of the scene. It's the closest thing to being there that a
camera can provide.

INVISUS PC SECURITY SOLUTION (http://myinvisusdirect.com/usergroups) a service
by subscription that offers maximum protection for your PC against Internet
threats and intruders, identity theft insurance, and unlimited phone support.
You get all necessary corporate-grade (but easy to use) security programs and
ongoing automatic updates employing the latest and best protection technologies
– never buy security software or upgrades again! With unlimited U.S.-based
expert technical support included in the subscription, it’s like having your own
team of security experts ready to help with any security question or problem on
your PC.

NJCC President’s Note: The Computer System Security presentation that I was
scheduled to make September 13th will be postponed to our October 11th meeting.
This is being done to take advantage of Dave Whittle’s availability to present
the Invisus PC Security Solution to our NJCC membership. After a lengthy
telephone conversation with him, followed by an extensive Internet search on
this product, I believe that this service may be of great interest to you. Dave
and I will also coordinate our presentations for a complete and comprehensive
computer security coverage if you attend both of these meetings.

OCTOBER 11th: "Computer System Security"

Fred Sabin, NJCC President, will make a comprehensive presentation on
"malware":

1) What is it?
2) Where does it come from?
3) How does it get into your computer system?
4) What can you do to prevent it?
5) How do you detect it?
6) How do you get rid of it?

NOVEMBER 8th: "Creating Macros In Excel And Word - A Free Mini-Course"

A macro is like a mini-computer program that allows you to record keystrokes and
mouse clicks for later playback, thus allowing you to repeat complicated tasks
with a single click.

At our November 8, 2006 meeting, Paul S. Natanson will show some easy ways to
create and use macros in Excel and Word to automate some of your routine
complicated repetitive tasks.

To download some of Paul's handouts and other presentation materials, go to
http://excelvbaprogramming.homestead.com/index.html and click on the FREE
COURSES link.

DECEMBER 13th: "NJCC Holiday Party/Chinese Auction"

Fred Sabin, President of the New Jersey Computer Club, and Rich Byrne, 1st
Vice-President and past President of the New Jersey Computer Club, will
coordinate the annual Holiday Party and the Chinese Auction at this meeting.

For the Holiday Party, members are requested to bring in their favorite holiday
food, snack or drink to share with all on this special occasion. Please remember
that the North Branch Reformed Church is a "NUT FREE FACILITY!" NO foods
containing nut products of any type are allowed in the facility.

Our regular Chinese Auction will feature useable software and hardware donated
by members. Please bring in items to donate to this. We would prefer Pentium
level and Windows 98 or above. Free tickets will be available to members with
the option to purchase an unlimited amount of additional tickets for bidding on
these items.

A special Chinese Auction for NJCC Members ONLY will feature new software and
other items donated to the NJCC.

All proceeds will benefit the NJCC Memorial Award Fund.
