Quicken & TurboTax
HOW TO GET THERE: Driving on Route 22 West: Turn right at the light at Milltown Road. Go to the end of the street. The church is directly across the street. Driving on Route 22 East: Continue past Milltown Road (no left turn allowed) to the Route 28 off ramp (next exit). At the end of the ramp turn left onto Route 28 and continue about 0.6 miles to the church (on your right). NOTE: The church is exactly one mile East of the main entrance (at Orr Drive on Route 28) to Raritan Valley Community College. |
Quicken and TurboTax SoftwareJohn Beck, 2nd Vice-President of the NJCC and Program Director, will lead us in a review of the features and uses of these software products that can save you time and money. The Quicken products can be seen at www.quicken.com and the TurboTax products are at http://turbotax.intuit.com/ . We will use a Quicken demo to understand the simple process of setting up Quicken. We will then explore many of the useful features of the software. We will also populate our own data file and then transfer the tax related data to the TurboTax software for use in our tax return. We will also take a look at some of the tax information available at www.irs.gov . If time permits, we will: 1. Review the process of selecting the appropriate version of the software. 2. Explore the various places to buy the software. 3. Create some useful reports from our Quicken data.
