Re: [njpodcasters] Special Thanks and a little equipment help

Hi Mark:

I have a PDF all about the iRiver ifp800 series which have been discontinued, but they are available on EBay and other retailers as refurbs. I have a 512mb and 1gb version, with a 256mb version on the way. They cost from about $50-100 and I think they do a fantastic job when paired with the right external mic.

I expect to post the PDF by this Friday with some added info but I will send it offlist now to you. It will be on http://www.imagingbuffet.com and I hope it is helpful.

All the best,

Andrew Darlow

I want to give a special thank you to Brad P. of NJ for coming to the
ACGNJ meeting and giving a great presentation. To quote my son (16

played it." That is saying something special for the meeting he
usually brings it out sometime during the meeting. Good Job Brad.

Now the equipment question. Brad said he used a MP3 player (iRiver?)
to do in the field recordings. I have been doing a search for players
that record but I am getting frustrated. So may of the players record
with a built in Mic, and never mention a input for an external mic. I
want to get my son started. Do you all have any recommendations on
MP3 players for in the field work?

Thanks for your help in advance.
Mark
