I just installed nntprss and it works great.

On the preferences page for an RSS entry I saw the posting option
which is set to false by default. I wonder how posting works at all -
I couldn't find any documentation on that.

Is there a way to publish the weblog as static html and have it ftped
to a web server?

... AFAIU nntprss allows you to post from news reader if you have blog that has extenal posting API. ... i think this needs to be addressed by blog...
