Don,
Thursday morning I finally got around to attempting the import myself.
I took the approach of importing the outlook.pst file from the old
computer to the new computer. It worked fine and the new computer
behaves just like the old. I was an administrator on both computers
and I had to unhide folders. Right now I'm doing this from memory so
I may not have the path exactly correct but the target file is in
c:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst. If you have them networked make
sure to enable sharing on the source folder and give permission to the
user on your destination computer.
