FIRST Robotics Workshops/Panel Discussions - 9/15   Message List

If you are interested in the big FIRST robots (FRC), this Saturday 9/15, there
is an opportunity to learn more. Also the robot controller mini-course will be
using Vex equipment and EasyC that are applicable to this year's FIRST Tech
Challenge (aka FIRST Vex Challenge) game.

WHERE: Santa Clara University,
Engineering Building, Building 404
WHEN: September 15, 2007, 8:30 - 4:00 p.m.
WHAT: Robotics AM mini-courses, 3 hours in length.
Panel discussions in afternoon

Mini-Course CHOICES in morning:
- A Tutorial for Using DC motors
- 3D Studio Max
- Robot Controller and Programming Software Tools
- Electronics: a short course


PANEL DISCUSSIONS IN afternoon:
Panel 1:
Running a team and dealing with Team Dynamic issues and how to get
everyone involved

Panel 2:
Getting Parents Involved & Fund Raising:


HOW MUCH:
$5 per person for WHOLE DAY, payable to WRRF on workshop day.
