All,

There are three separate notes in this email ... all are important,
so make sure to read each of them.

FVC TOURNAMENT MARCH 4TH

The date and location for the Northern California FIRST Vex Challenge
Championship is now official. The tournament will be Sunday, March
4th at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose.

We will be following up in the next couple of days with details on
formal registration, but for now, if you could reply with a quick
indication of whether or not your team will be registering, it would
help with the final planning details.

FVC DEMO FEB. 8TH

On this coming Thursday, Feb. 8th, Dean Kamen will be giving a talk
at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. FIRST has asked us
to try to get a couple of teams to participate in demonstrations
of the FVC game.

We are looking for a few teams willing to come and help be a part
of the demo. Teams would need to be at the museum by 4:45pm and
plan on staying to approximately 7pm. Depending on time, it is
possible that Dean will be able to swing through the demo and
talk with the teams!

FVC SCRIMMAGE FEB. 10TH

The Computer History Museum has also agreed to allow us to leave
the field setup and hold a small scrimmage on Saturday (the 10th).
If your team is interested in participating, please reply with
a rough count of the number of team members that will be coming.
The scrimmage will be from 9am to 4pm and informally organized.

We will run matches throughout the scrimmage as needed to allow
teams to practice. When no matches are running, the field will
be open for teams to test on.

We are not collecting any fees for the scrimmage, but would
suggest that teams that participate make a donation to the
Computer History Museum in gratitude for hosting the scrimmage.

Don't hesitate to email or call if there are questions.

Mark & Jill
