Position Description ? Senior UI Developer

About the Project:
Investor Reporting 2 (IR2) is a medium-scale (8-10 million records),
high-performance transaction mortgage servicing system, which will be used to
run the Home Affordable Modification Program announced by the administration. It
implements a standardized, streamlined process to modify loans regardless of
current holders (ie, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Private Label Security or Bank
Portfolio). Its purpose is to shadow-service mortgages which have been modified
under the program in order to prevent foreclosure. IR2 is being developed using
proven technologies, including PL/SQL, ORACLE, Ab-Initio and Java following
industry best practices for development.

About the Team:
The IR2 Functional Development team is responsible for analyzing, designing,
developing and providing Test and Production support for the IR2. Functionality
includes setting up servicers in the program, boarding the modified loans,
tracking loan payment per modified terms, and calculating compensation to
borrower and servicer under the program. This is a large team environment. In
developing and supporting IR2 functionality, team members work closely with
members of supporting teams such as Requirements, Architecture, Database
Management, Test, Technical Operations and Business Operations. The project team
will meet an aggressive development schedule.

About the Position:
The Senior UI Developer will design and construct the IR2 user per industry best
practices, and provide technical support other teams, including requirements,
architecture, development, test and operations as needed.

Responsibilities:
1. Apply object-oriented design principles, industry best practices (e.g. design
patterns) and company policies and procedures to design and implement IR2 new
features.
2. Construct a multi-tier web application using J2EE application frameworks,
Java, and Oracle.
3. Review business requirements and use cases, and provide feedback to
management and/or business analysts.
4. Learn quickly and develop creative solutions, encompassing software
integration, performance, reliability, manageability and security.
5. Collaborate with other developers as well as with Business Management,
Configuration Management, Quality Assurance and core Architecture Support in
order to complete their job responsibilities.
6. Assist other developers in solving complex problems.
7. Help troubleshoot critical issues in production.

Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:
1. Ability to work well with others in a large (50-100 people) team.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
3. 10 years software development experience.
4. 5 years of progressive experience developing applications with Java and J2EE
technologies.
5. Thorough understanding of J2EE technologies and frameworks, especially
iBatis, JSF, facelets, Richfaces, and Spring DAO.
6. Thorough understanding of OO Design, Programming, and Design patterns.
7. 5+ years experience developing with an RDBMS (Oracle preferred) and SQL.
8. 3+ years experience in working with UNIX environment including developing
shell scripts.
9. Ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems
10. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
11. Ability to work against aggressive deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
and to adapt to changing business requirements
12. Ability to prepare and present software life cycle documents for review and
inspection as required.
13. Ability to contribute to design and code reviews.

Nice to Have Skills:
1. Experience in developing Financial/Mortgage applications.
2. Working knowledge of Clearcase and ClearQuest.
3. Experience developing in a Weblogic environment.
4. Experience developing in Oracle 10g.
5. Experience developing with Autosys.
