I enjoy using nPOPuk on two devices, a WM Smartphone Professional 6.1 and on
various PC's, WinXP or Vista. There is a way to set up nPOPuk since recent
updates to work on different platforms while accessing the same Data folder, the
same mailboxes, address book and settings. If this is of interest, a simple
framework could be uploaded to this site. If you are interested, feel free to
mention, and I can upload this.

I used to swap the storage card between a PPC and a PC, then access the correct
exe file for the platform. Before ejecting the storage card, I would use the
"backup" feature to backup settings, address book and mailboxes into the other
exe folder.

Then it became possible to use one Data folder along with separate folders for
the different nPOPuk.ese platform files.

Now there is one more feature with this phone, and that is using the software
WMStorage it is possible to plug the phone into the USB of a PC, and it works as
an external storage drive, so nPOPuk can be run from the PC without taking the
storage card out of the phone. Then when used from the phone again, all the
mail, settings and addresses are the same as when used on the PC. This saves
pulling the card out, as it does snag a little on this phone.

While I don't use nPOPuk data files in a cross-platform way as you do, I do use WM5torage for transfer of files between WM phone and the PC. Been doing this...

That's nice for you. VIsta though? No way that's going to be happy installed on my netbook, the Asus 901, with a mere 3.9GB of SSD on which to install the OS....
