Re: [npug] Re: Palm Pre reviews

True, and for notes you could use Evernote on your iPhone, Mac and PC, and sync all three. Plus Evernote is replete with more functions than pretty much any "notes" app out there.

But I was curious as to what functions Randy was not finding in the iPhone PIM area. PalmOS does have a great PIM. Based on my limited experience, WinMo has the second best built-in PIM. I have only read about the BlackBerry PIM, but it sounds okay, if not great. Seems like iPhone and Android have the weakest PIMs, though you can certainly augment the PIM on the iPhone with other apps. Though it seems "cleaner" to have a full PIM, even if it is augmented with add-on software that enhances it, like DateBk did for the Palm PIM, rather than 2 or 3 or 4 apps that combine to give full PIM functionality. I still love having Search on the Palm being able to search through all the built-in PIM databases. The new Search (Spotlight?) on the iPhone seems pretty similar, though I don't know if it's as wide ranging.

Charlie,

There is "Things" for the MacOS and iPhone that I know Michael was using on
both, and I'm using things on my Mac now. It seems to cover tasks well, and
syncs too.
