Re: S60 icon creation

Thanks for the advice.... the icon you posted does indeed work, though the top
part of the icon is getting chopped off on my Nokia 6124.

I also created another test icon based on the dimensions you used and did manage
to get an icon, but only using the ink tools within InkScape... might be good
enough though if I spend some time drawing - not my strong area!

Interesting you didn't convert the SVG to an SVG-T - I must have misunderstood
something in the NSB Tech Note as I thought I had to do this, but your method
proves otherwise.

What device are you using? Icon support on S60 is flakey. Here's a thread (you'll see I am in it) discussing some problems on the 5800: ...

Hi, Tony, I had some trouble to create icons, but finally I discovered an easy way: 1) create your icon using INKSCAPE. Adjust drawing size to 44px x 44px or ...

Like everyone else I also struggled early on getting icons to work, and I would also add that Nokia made some changes to S60 5th edition which meant that icons...

I'll add this to the tech note. A word of caution: This produces an SVG file. Symbian actually support just SVGI, a subset of SVG. So long as you build your...
