This is the general support group for the NSLU2 made by linksys.

Please use this nslu2-general group for Linksys vendor firmware questions, the nslu2-linux group for nslu2-linux custom firmware usage questions, the nslu2-developers group for nslu2-linux development questions, and debian-arm@lists.debian.org for Debian/NSLU2 questions.

Hmm, there may be a gpio pin you could use, but the slug wasn't really made for hacking. I would recommend trying Google, and if that doesn't work, maybe look

Hey folks! I'm still using my slug running SlugOS (BE) 5.3-beta and it works great. My parents are on a very slow dsl link and i'm thinking of 'upgrading them'
