For November, as we head into the holiday season, we thought we'd
lighten it up for a social evening of agile fun!
This meeting is Wednesday, November 18th at 6:00 PM.
Please RSVP to agilesocal@... !!!

Many agilists say the best way to understand agile processes is to
experience them. On this night we're going to run an agile project!
One of the most popular and effective agile simulations is the "XP
Game." Over the years it's been modified and generalized to be a
great demonstration of not just Extreme Programming but Scrum and
other agile processes. We'll be running a version that has been
well-tuned and play-tested dozens of times.
In this simulation you'll gain direct experience in the core agile
practices of user stories, release planning, iteration (sprint)
planning, teamwork, and tracking and metrics. Over the course of
several realistic iterations, you'll deliver "done" product for
your customer. You'll learn what an agile process feels like and
how teams work together to deliver finished work in short cycles.
The simulation is great for all levels of agile knowledge, from
novices to experts, and for any role in an agile project. So bring
your teammates, coworkers, managers, executives - anyone!
We'll be guided in the simulation by Paul Hodgetts of Agile Logic
and Paul Moore of Capital Group. The Pauls each have over 9 years
of agile experience across a wide range of projects, and will help
answer all your agile questions.
