Our topics will range from gardening to animal husbandry to our familys. We dont plan on moderating the list but we ask that topics be at least slightly homestead related and please keep in mind that we are not a survivalist group or a political group.

Our sister list farmanimalsforsale is a great place to sell your homestead related items. And we hope that this list will be an offshoot of that list where we can chat about our animals and our familys. Get to know each other and enjoy some local friendships.

There are many species specific lists but often when your busy homesteading you dont have time to check a specific list and it really helps to get advice from someone whose homesteading in your area since environmental conditions can have so much effect on how helpful advice is. So with that in mind we hope that this list will be a good place to find help whether you have horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, guineas, livestock guardian dogs, etc.
