Greetings,
I have been enjoying my onHand for more than a year. I use it to remind me of appointments, have a handy phone book, keep track of IRLP nodes for Amateur Radio use, play chess against the watch (I beat it once on the highest level), and read the news with the NetHand application. The NetHand is cool, and I hope Marshall continues developing it.
I think the onHand is quite versatile, but lags behind the much-wider acceptance of the WristPDA. However, I would much rather use batteries that last me about three months, rather than needing to recharge a watch every day.
My sleep schedule would make it difficult for me to ensure a full charge every day. My onHand ensures that I wake up on time, because I can wear it while I sleep. One of the most frequent complaints about the WristPDA is that the sound is too weak. This is not a problem with the onHand, especially when we can customize our alarms.
If the WristPDA were to be improved with longer battery life, and might consider switching, but I think its power requirements will make that unlikely. Meanwhile, I will continue to enjoy my onHand. However, I would like to have more time to work on programming it.

Hello.. Is this group dead or what?
Actually, I'm considering buying an OnHand PC, but afraid that no one except for me uses the watch, which means no softwares anymore. Did everyone turn to WristPDA?
Which one is better at this time? WristPDA with volatile memory and short battery life? OnHand PC with non-volatile memory and no users?
Thank you.
