Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK (preferably online) that I can
buy a clear plastic watch strap which will fit the onHand PC? I
measured the gap where the strap attaches as being 23mm, but other
messages in this group suggest that a replacement strap should be 22mm.

I doubt that the "official" strap is available from anywhere now!
