this question comes up more and more in my line of work as well: MMOG's.
With skype, iChat, XboxLive, Teamspeak and so many more, it is becoming
increasingly more difficult to manage or moderate live chat. As I deal in
family-friendly products this poses a real interesting conundrum.
Something tells me we'll be moving to some form of "spyware" for audio; at
least, some day if not already. But how far is too far when it comes to
monitoring conversations? what is the difference between the written word
and the spoken? I still believe in the power of the parent to educate and
monitor but we all know that this is not fool-proof.
