I've been talking with Willy Sudiarto Raharjo (Willy in short) who has
been a long time contributor to OpenOffice.org, especially in the field
of documentation. Willy comes from Indonesia, and both of us feel very
strongly in favour of opening a Bahasa Indonesia Native-Lang project.
Although he had proposed such a project before, Willy has been building
its core team and it's now in good shape to be a level 2 project, given
their activities in documentation and user support. Besides, I have been
trying to know wether Sun was planning to localize
StarOffice/OpenOffice.org for Indonesian languages. I still don't know
what Sun may be up to in this regard. Wether the localization is done by
Sun or Willy's team, I'd like to welcome Willy and the Indonesian
Native-Lang community inside the NLC.
Willy, what I need from you is the ISO code for the Bahasa Indonesia
language (2 letters who will form your domain name), your OOo username,
and I'd like you to register to the NLC
(http://native-lang.openoffice.org) . I will then file the issue for the
project, and, well, you know the rest I think.
+1 for the Indonesian Native-Lang project !
Regards,
Charles-H. Schulz.
