While that is true, openbook still uses obu.exe to start it up, so you still have to use the obu.jcf file. I don't know what I did on here to mess something...

I have both of them. Actually, I have obu.jcf, openbook.jcf, and ob.jcf. You still do need obu because that is what is what it is still brought up with....
