You would need to look at the data sheets for your can bus controller for
this. There will be timing settings too.

There is just the one - I have had it at a workshop and on a very expensive
handheld OBD

Hi,

Is there a recommended limit to the number of OBDII requests one can do per
second on ISO15765?

I have tested on Ford Fiesta, Mazda MX5, RX8 but I seem to cause interference to
the Fly-by-wire throttle on a Ford Focus's ISO15765 bus.

- Anyone experienced the same?
- Is Ford's ISO15765 under greater bus load compared to other manufacturers?
- Any general recommendations/guideline when connecting via ISO15765?

Thank you,

Hi Naveen,
I have some OBDII interfaces, which works with OpenDiag and various others - but
none of the
programs seem to be able to reset the service lamp. I can click the button to
reset it, I get the
warning that "this mights ... and so on" and I click YES. And the lamp stays on.
All readouts work fine - the engine light reset is the only thing that does not.
Any ideas?

Hi!
I'm trying to find injector opening time in the stream sent by ECU in response
to RDBLI service. I've forced the engine to enter in cut-off and then I stored
RDBLI response. So, I searched for bytes that got zero values, but they don't
make any sense when the engine is at idle.
I think to calc the injector time I make:

injector time = X*0.1 (ms), X is the raw data.

My ECU is Multec H X14YFL.

  Does anybody have any sugestion?

Hey ysefkalioglu,
I'm currently developing a network OS for a vehicle based on the ISO
15765-2 and ISO 14229-1 standards. I'm just curious to know what is the code
size of your protocol assuming that you have developed for all the layers of
the stack program.

It would be lot great if you could communicate with me.

My 2002 Jeep TJ Sport has the engine light on - air system leak. I have found

programs attemt

Neat!
I haven't read the list for a while so I don't know if you have or
not, but if you had any docs about PSA (Peugeot/Citroen, mid-late 90s,
XU10 engines) for the Motronic MP3.2 and MP5.2, I would be eternally
grateful :)

There are several uC with embedded CAN controller, you'll only need a TTL
<-> CAN "transceiver" to adapt physical layer. A very powerful one is STM32.

From my limited understanding of CAN implementation in vehicles, you'll
still need the object model implementation ontop of the CAN controller
unless you're trying to reverse engineer it from a datalog.

Hello Attila!

I did use for CAN / J1939 following source code (Atmel CPU + microchip CAN
Controler)
http://www.siwawi.arubi.uni-kl.de/avr_projects/can/index.html

Then, did you see

http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/J1939.zip
http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/00930a.pdf
for CAN / microchip?

There are mostly for J1939 but it's very close and you can connect to car's CAN
well and receive / send some simple messages.

I need some source code that works based on the CAN EOBD standard.
I try to make my diploma work, but I've stucked. I've developed and manufactured
PIC based
scantool circuit. I've learned the ISO 15765 CAN standard, SAE J1979 OBD
standard, AN228 (CAN physical layer app. note) and the PIC MCU's datasheet.
I've trying to interrogate with a CAN compatible vehicle, but my code doesn't
work. So, I'm trying to do exactly what the standard says abbout connecting to a
CAN node
but I've never got any answer at all...

Now I'm absolutely stucked.

If anybody has a working code in any language, for any MCU or hardware, which
can communicate with a vehicle OBD CAN node,
than please share with me. I don't need more than the discovery routine which
discovering the baud rate, and the ID length of the node.
I only need a source code for connect to the system.
I would very -very appreciate if you somebody helps me.

Thanks in advance,
Attila

So basically you are placing commercial ads here, but you are willing to
give away some for free if people want to use it non-commercially?

Hello,
I am from Slovakia.
Please could You provide to me some source codes for OPEL and FORD cars. I
would like to make a little control modul to measure of live data from ECU
or data from others sources.
About one year ago I programed something in C++, but it does not function. I
will be glad if I would have the correct code of comunication between PC and
ECUs and the communication protocols.
Thanks
Miroslav
