Re: [openpfgw] Re: Bug in processing huge input files from NewPGen
hello, I have been following this thread
about the log file of pfgw being too large.
I use cygwin to run pfgw and I can manipulate
files that are larger than 2gb easily, this is
big but it does not make problems,
I use win XP service pack 2.
In case you do not know what cygwin is : it is
a complete Unix simulator under windows and it
works quite well, as well as native unix,
the program is free and you only need disk space
to install it properly (you will need 2gb of free
disk space on C: at the least).
The <beast> is self installing you just have to go
to www.cygwin.com to install the setup.exe file
and then it will download and install evewrything,
You need a fast line to do that (ADSL or cable).
It may sound like a huge thing just to run pfgw,
I find pfgw easier to use on the command line
on that simulated unix much better than the windows
command line.
ps : I wish this will help you.
