screen readers for the visually impaired so I thought I'd pass along

There is an open source reader called NVDA (
http://www.nvda-project.org/ ) I have never used it so I cannot vouch
for its efficacy. NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA) is a free and open
source screen reader for the Microsoft Windows operating system.
