I have tried installing the latest FLickrRivr.root and am getting an
error as shown in the screenshot attached.

I downloaded the new version from

http://support.opml.org/2007/04/13#a1634

Followed the docs here

http://support.opml.org/2006/01/01

I created a new folder to store the images and cut and paste my
Flickr Contacts RSS Feed and am left with the error in the screenshot.

"Can't call the script because the name 'CheckFeed' hasn't been
defined"

Any ideas anyone?

Stephen

I have just run through it again along with installing the new 'Front
Tool Update' and put the video on YouTube (5 Minutes)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnoABJiNomE

(The error I am currently getting with FlickrRivr starts around the
2:30 mark)

I also created a OPML group for YouTube videos so join up or add any
OPML related videos to this group or just keep an eye on it for what
might show up, sadly there is no RSS feed for the group though.

Stephen, dunno about your FlickrRiver prob, but on the videos, maybe blip.tv would be better. They don't have groups, but they have playlists with feeds. A different way of getting a cross-account feed. I have a screencast of how to build a directory of inclusions, but I'd want to re-do it before adding it to the collection. The file directories are all changed from when I made it (older version Windows when the user files were in My Documents)

It was a simple fix, if you update flickrRivr.root, it should work now.

Thanks Dave,

All done and worked perfectly.

I had a good look around Blip.TV and like what I saw Amy so thanks,
I'll edit that video and it will be at http://netweb.blip.tv shortly.

Cheers,

Stephen

Hi Stephen, I get the same error, after following the same steps, and I'm on a
Mac. OPML

Donovan,

Either via following the video online http://blip.tv/file/203263 from
about half way though it shows the FlickrRivr stuff being loaded.

Around 3/4 of the way through I have re-edited the video showing the
updated part to FlickRivr Dave added in to fix this issue and
everything is perfect now.

Essentially Open flickrrivr.root in the OPML Editor and click 'Tools'
then 'Update Front Tool' which is part of new updating mechanisms and
that will check and update any new 'parts' for the flickrrivr.root
file as it is the one in focus and open in the OPML Editor.

Regards,

Stephen Edgar
