DISCOVERY PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE


A Pre-proposal Conference will be held on April 23, 2004, at the
Renaissance Hotel in Washington D.C. to answer questions regarding the 2004
Discovery AO released April 16, 2004. The address is

All interested parties may attend but shall not use NASA funds provided
under a current grant, agreement, or contract to defray the costs of
attendance and must make their own travel arrangements. The purpose of
this conference will be to address questions about the proposal process for
the 2004 Discovery AO. Questions should be sent to Dr. Susan Niebur,

NASA personnel will address all questions that have been received no later
than April 20. Questions submitted after this date may be addressed at the
Conference as time permits and as appropriate answers can be
generated. Anonymity of the authors of all questions will be preserved. A
summary of the Discovery AO Preproposal Conference, including answers to
all questions addressed at the conference, will be posted as part of the
Discovery Program Library (see Section 6.1.1) approximately two weeks after
this event.
