Announcement of a Preproposal Conference
for the NASA
Interdisciplinary Exploration Science Program
CLARIFICATION TO THE NASA RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT (NRA) ENTITLED "RESEARCH
OPPORTUNITIES IN SPACE AND EARTH SCIENCES (ROSES) 2005," NNH05ZDA001N,
RELEASED JANUARY 28, 2005
A preproposal conference will be held on April 19, 2005, for the
Interdisciplinary Exploration Science program described in Appendix D.2 of
the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth
Sciences" (NNH05ZDA001N). This conference will provide an opportunity for
potential proposers to discuss the objectives of the Interdisciplinary
Exploration Science Program with NASA. It will also provide potential
proposers the opportunity to form collaborations. NASA personnel will be
present to answers questions concerning the Interdisciplinary Exploration
Science Program as well as the proposal submission, evaluation, and
selection process that will be used to select proposals for funding within
the Interdisciplinary Exploration Science Program.
During the preproposal conference, there will be time for any member of the
NASA science community to present his/her comments on the notional research
areas described in the solicitation, or on any other research area that
addresses the objectives of the Interdisciplinary Exploration Science
Program. Potential speakers should sign up during conference
registration. Speakers will be limited to no more than 2 charts
(viewgraphs suitable for an overhead projector only, no electronic
presentations) and will be limited to no more than 5 minutes for their remarks.
The Interdisciplinary Exploration Science preproposal conference will be
held on April 19, 2005, at the Capitol Holiday Inn, 550 C Street S.W.,
Washington, DC, 20024 (Columbia Ballroom). Registration will begin at 8:00
a.m., and the conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by 12
noon. All participants are responsible for making their own travel
arrangements. No advanced registration is required.
