Amendment No. 8 to the NASA Research Announcement (NRA) entitled "Research
Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2005," NNH05ZDA001N,
Released January 28, 2005

On or about April 25, 2005, Amendment No. 8 to NASA Research Announcement
"Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences" (NNH05ZDA001N) will be
posted on its homepage Web site at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ (select
"Solicitations" then "Open Solicitations" then "NNH05ZDA001N").

The Sun-Solar System Connection Guest Investigators program described in
Appendix A.19 is postponed; no new proposal due date is being announced at
this time. NASA is conducting a Senior Review for operating Sun-Solar
System Connection (SSSC) missions in the Fall of 2005. Since the SSSC
Guest Investigators program is dependent on the plans for continued
operation of SSSC missions, NASA is postponing the solicitation of SSSC
Guest Investigators program proposals until after the SSSC Senior
Review. Any new proposal due date will be announced at least 90 days in
advance either as an amendment to ROSES 2005 or as a new announcement in
