I didn't have any problems except for a few bits of code that I have written that don't compile under gcc4.0. Fortunately, however, it preserves gcc-3.3 so there's a workaround. As for other things, I actually found an improvement. I NEVER could get Miriad to run on my laptop (dunno why) but under OSX10.4 it installed seamlessly.

Hi all,Well looks like I will have to finally go from 10.3 to 10.4 assome software I have been using is now 10.4 only (due to javaversions). So I imagine many of you have already done thisso I thought I would see if you had any problems, big or small, and any tips. Should I just go ahead and shove the CDs in?Should I expect previously compiled *nix based software to keeprunning as usual (miriad, etc)?thanksTyler+--------------------------------------------------------------------+| Phone 1-617-496-7619 Fax 1-617-496-7554 | * * || Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics | / \ * || 60 Garden St MS 78, | \_.--._/ || Cambridge MA, 02138, USA | v |+--------------------------------------------------------------------+------------------------ Yahoo!
