I am recruiting for a 6-month contract to hire Sr.  J2ee Developer with Project Lead skills for a client in St. Paul.  I'm including the description below, please forward all interest to me.

Role:

Java developer with project lead skills to support several J2EE Internet applications and web sites. This position requires someone with J2EE technical skills along with project management skills. Primary responsibilities include coordinating workload of 4 developers and prioritizing projects with end users. Will be the initial contact with End Users to scope and provide high-level estimates on new projects. Will also provide level 2 support in troubleshooting system problems.

 

Key Responsibilities

-Project Lead for small projects

-Review and update Internet projects, manage scope, create or review charters, gather requirements, assign resources, provide status reports to business partners and IT mgmt

-Resolve resource constraints and reprioritize projects as needed

-Assist with achieving IT department goals  - ITIL, CMM level 2, etc

-Review Internet projects and issues with developers

-Assist with Java development as needed

 

Other responsibilities:

-Ensure SDLC procedures are followed by developers

-Gather or clarify requirements as needed

-Create and/or review change tickets, problem tickets as needed

-Communicate with Manager, Architect and Operations regarding best solutions

-Internet applications level 2 support

-Work with the PMO to create best practices

-Maintain on-call schedule

-Assist with Code Reviews

-Some Crystal Reports development
