Senior Programmer Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst with the following skills. This is a permanent, full-time employee (PFT) position with one of our clients.  This team has life-cycle responsibility for the software on the GUI, clients, servers, databases, middle-ware, back-end, and web integration.  Most team members work on most every area; there is very little specialization.  This team does unit testing, acceptance testing, continuous integration, refactoring, small iterations, pair-programming, daily stand-up meetings, and is co-located.

The person will do the following:

* Performs systems analysis, design, and programming duties of a broad and complex nature
* Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems
* Designs, codes, tests, and debugs programs
* Documents and or edits existing manual and automated processes
* Monitors the performance of systems and recommends and develops means for improvement
* Works closely with other department personnel concerning the design of new or revised applications systems
* Develop unit test programs and modify and test existing programs
* Plan and execute system integration testing

Minimum General Requirements

* Bachelors degree in computer science or management information systems or equivalent
* Minimum of 6 years experience in programming and/or systems analysis
* Minimum of 2 years development experience in Java programming, to include some experience with Swing, Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, Eclipse, Windows, and Unix or Linux. A very strong understanding of object-oriented technology and Java is essential.
* Minimum of 2 years development experience with an SQL based relational database environment such as MySQL or SQL Server, including database design
* Strong applied mathematics skills relating to imaging applications including algebra, trigonometry, and computational geometry
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with non-technical customers

Desired Skills or Experience

* Experience with BEA WebLogic or AquaLogic ESB
* Experience with SOA architecture and messaging with JMS
* Experience with imaging applications, including Java Advanced Imaging
