- JUnit, and mocking tools
- Functional testing tools (Fit, Fitness, etc.)
- Automated build tools (Ant, AntHill, CruiseControl)
- Messaging protocol experience
- Knowledge of image manipulation/processing (JAI)
- Java-based Linux and Windows development and deployment
- Work-flow / Process control
- Production / Operations experience
- Object-relational mapping tool skills (Hibernate)
- Lightweight component configuration tools (Spring)
- Thick-client GUI development, especially Swing
- Experience with BEA WebLogic or AquaLogic ESB
- Experience with SOA architecture and messaging with JM
