My client in the Warehouse District of downtown Minneapolis is looking for Software Engineers to join their team developing next generation architecture and to add new features to our existing products. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of taking calculated risks and be able to work independently with little supervision. They are a fast growing company so the ability to perform in multiple roles and the desire to learn new technologies is required.

 

Responsibilities:

Perform full software product development lifecycle including requirements definition, design, implementation and unit testing.

Develop appropriate documentation throughout the development cycle.

Take ownership for the initial development of one or more product features and also on-going support for those features.

Continually look for tools to optimize the development process and then integrate those tools into the development environment.

Research new technologies and then integrate those technologies into our products.

 

Qualifications:

B.A. or B.S. degree in computer science or a related field.

3+ years of software development experience with enterprise Windows applications using C++, C#, Java, Perl and/or XML.

Demonstrated experience using object oriented programming techniques

Familiar with Microsoft SQL and Oracle database technology.

Experienced in using Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.

Experienced in the use of defect tracking tools such as RTI CustomerFirst.

Knowledgeable in the use of enterprise telephone systems such as Cisco CallManager, Nortel CS1000 and Avaya Communications Manager.

Knowledgeable in the use of messaging systems such as Cisco Unity, Avaya Message Networking and Nortel CallPilot.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership for solving new problems and delivering existing commitments.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people, including customers.
