Hi,
I am curious about what kind of Flash
questions were brought up at last nights meeting? Wish I could have made it…
I see JSF as the java answer to RIAs (Rich
Internet Applications) Flash term :) and
Are any of you going to http://www.flashbelt.com this year?
Thanks!

Reminder: Java SIG Meeting Tuesday May 9, 2006 at 6:30pm JavaServer Faces
by Jacob Hookom
I want to thank everyone that came. It was great for me to know
what worked and what didn't work in the presentation (looks like I will have to
rework some of the beginning ;-)
The questions around Flash, network load, and Facelets are going to make their
way into the next revision-- I just found out that there's over 900 people
signed up for our talk at JavaOne.
Again, thanks so much and if you have any questions about JSF, etc feel free to
email me.
All the Best,
Jacob Hookom

Abstract
Developers know that JavaServer Faces technology can be used for any
sort of web site, including highly dynamic Asynchronous JavaScript technology
and XML (AJAX) sites. But just because you can use JavaServer Faces technology
anywhere, should you? We'll break down the mechanics of the JavaServer Faces
API and explore different approaches to rich application development as they
relate to the framework's strengths and weaknesses.
