Java SIG'ers,
Well, it has been a very busy couple of weeks. I have been in transition since the new year getting settled back in the Twin Cities. I have a new job, and I received an email from a few people wondering what that noise in December was all about. Well in case you missed it. I am getting back involved in organizing the OTUG Java SIG after taking a break for an out of town contract. So, I have been after a few people to give talks in January, and alas they are all busy keeping their resolutions. I would love to hear from anyone that has an interest in giving a talk in the coming year.
So here is what I propose to the group. I have been missing contact with the java community this last six months. I would like to organize a little social meet and greet to get us back together to share ideas. I am still very optimistic about a "normal" February meeting. This month in the spirit of mixing and associating with our larger OTUG community I think we should take the OTUG openspace coming up next week and participate in a way only our group could. Whoever shows up are the right people for the night. I would like to hear what other people in the industry are interested in hearing and talking about in the coming year. I realize the last OTUG open space was about agile development in large part, but the principal of an OpenSpace is that the group of people shape what happens. We will self organize and converse!
So for those of you interested in talking about objects, ruby, java, and anything else we can think of come to the OTUG meeting next Tuesday @ 6:30 in the 3M Science Auditorium in Owens Science Hall. See the OTUG website for details. (

See you there!
