Description
Increasingly, classroom teachers are encouraging students to work on
collaborative presentation projects in an effort to bring forth
higher levels of creativity while at the same time teaching lessons
about software, and collaboration as a learning method. This session
will explore several ways that digital photo-stories can be used to
accomplish this end.

About Ramona Deitrich - Ramona is a ICT teacher at an international
school near Lisbon, Portugal. She has recently introduced Digital
Storytelling to her Year 8 class and the results have been
spectacular. She can't wait to share her experience.

About Cristina Costa - Cristina is an EFL teacher and learning
technologist. She uses the internet to involve students in ICT
activities. Currently she is working at the University of Salford,
UK, helping academic staff in efficient use of edu-technology. She
believes blogging is one of the most engaging strategies to involve
students in collaborative learning opportunities.


**Follow these steps to access Open Weekends:**


If this is your first time to the knowplace family of sites, you need
to create an account in each site in which you wish to participate.

Once you have created an account, you can enter the Open Weekend at
12:00 pm * Pacific Time (Vancouver, British Columbia) on the day it
is scheduled to start. If you are you wondering what time that is for
you visit the World Clock

If you are asked for an enrollment key, you have arrived early, or we
are a little late in opening. This can happen and we try to open the
weekend as soon as possible.

* All Open Weekends begin Friday at 12 pm PT and end late Sunday
afternoon. The "three-day" weekend provides time for you to review
the course materials and/or read and post to the discussions later on
Sunday. The facilitator(s) will be checking into the workshop
throughout the weekend and when convenient to their time zones.
