The Directory, edit site page, help menu items have been updated.
Windows users just drop this in your palace folder. Mac folks need to
find the mac equivalent to palace.ini

I have printed off the palace tutorial & have been reading it but Im

Hi.  I think it was last year, I got a registration code for the
PalaceServer, but I had a regular connection to the internet, so my
IP address kept changing when I signed on and off, so I stopped using
it.  Now, I have a cable connection, and can keep a Palace running
24/7.  However, I could barely find the program, and I can't find a
registration code anywhere.  Does anyone know where I can get a new
one?  Will communities.com even give me my old one back?  I had the
email saved, but that was on my old computer, which got reformated,
and it was lost.  Thanks a lot if anyone can help me.

Last year Stan did a fantastic "Countdown" Script for the Millennium.  Well, this coming New Years is supposedly the real beginning of the new century, and I would like to use the same script.
 
Has anybody brought the script up to date for this year?  Or does it need to be changed at all?  Also, I can't remember the particulars about loading the number gif's.  (I know I still have them!)  Just now took a good look--they're actually looseprops--not gif's!

This is the real Bond23. Identity confirmation can be made through
iDoug or Art Fink.

The person known The Silent One, aka Chriss, is not to be trusted. He
will be banned or killed on sight at any server I have access to. DO
NOT, I repeat, DO NOT acknowledge him in any way. He is a confirmed
impersonator and cloner. He has been indetified(not positivly but
almost) as the one reponsible for several attacks with the last 72
hours to Koko's server. Positive identification was made at The West
Pole for impersonating an operator.

I implore you to not take heed towards his words, he will try to
disway you from killing or banning him. Be assured he will jump the
bans/kills.

I can't tell you without seeing the pat file. Your best bet is to delete the whole rom and start over on that room, unless somebody else has another idea

Edit your pat file manually(using your choice of plain text editors) and delete the defective script from the room(be sure you remember the room number cause thats they get listed the file) or alternatively delete the whole room and star from scratch.

Ok, everybody!!  Listen Up!!  Please!!!!

I remember honestly typing the name "Elysium" originally!!  I do know
the difference and what the allusion would be to if I had typed
"Alyssum".

Near as I can figure, when I ran the Spell Checker in Outlook Express,
it didn't recognize "Elysium" and without thinking or my finger slipped,
I must have clicked on the correction button.  Honestly!!!  A gal tries
to do some good around here and all that happens she is picked upon!
(boo hoo!)

Now for the heck of  it, I'm going to run the spell checker, BUT this
time I will pay attention!

Meanwhile, do come to Colorado and see my new room pic --"Phoenix
Rising" (be ready for a surprise), select some ribbons, THEN let me know
what you think of the picture I spent all night on!!  Geeez!!!  *Sigh*

For those of you who would like to have some sort of Memorial Ribbons
for your website, your palace or as props, I've just finished making a
whole batch of them!  Three jpeg files full of ribbons for you to do
with as you please!

I used the same bluish weave pattern from the Palace Tools logo as the
pattern/texture for the ribbons.  There are all shapes and sizes!
Against white or black, with or without drop shadows.  Even a few
buttons already made.  There are even a few that have that little gold
palace on them.

Within the next couple of days I hope to have some of the ribbons in a
prop dispenser in Barbara's Colorado:
               216.112.86.172:9998

Back-up your prefs, pat, and media files outside the Communities.com directory. REINSTALL the server and place your back-ups over the new prefs, pat, and media files. Contact me directly at bond23@... if you need the WinPServer install

I only wish I had thought of this.  After seeing Tybalt's and City
Slicker's gates at Xmission and The Castle, I decided to put up a black
gate in Colorado myself.   The following message is essentially as it
appears on The Castle's (and now mine) and explains the situation.  In
other words, why not have everybody that would like, put up a similar
black gate with a similar message this weekend??  We could all do it at
the same time--maybe for 24 hours or even a weekend?  Or maybe next week
or weekend?  Well, here goes:

November 5th, Communities.com shut down all palaces it
owned or that were on it's servers!
After announcing discontinued support for Palace, but
promised interface "till the end of the year or beyond,"
Communnities.com again showed it's lack of concern for the
people who made it what it was. . . their customers!
This site will wear  a black gate during this time as a memorial
to all the effort and support the Palace Community has provided
to one another, and the loss of Palace as an ongoing
professional endeavor.
Watch for "Elysium," a project to provide the Palace
Community a new platform enabling it's users with enhanced
features and better capabilities.
Please do come inside and explore, for we are still open!
