We have the Mother-Of-All-Meowers. In summer he'll sit outside the
screen door meowing piteously and endlessly, but if I open the door
and invite him in he stays put. I finally realised he's simply
vocalising his presence, and when I meow in response he quiets down &
relaxes.
Needless to say my husband thinks I'm a fool :)
