Backup? BACKUP?? What`s that? :-D
hi wisecracker,
"backup" is 'back up!" and depending on usage it could mean either "support" as
in 'back me up please!' or "stay away!" as in 'don't bother me' or, as in
driving, "change into the reverse gear and move backwards!" ;)
English, pretty much similar to Persian, has a lot of double- or multiple-fold
meanings attached to most phrases people use regulalry. there is an expression,
"Persian is sweet!" just because of that `cause you may toy around with words
and phrases in certain manners in that language and create playful sentences,
especially in poetry. i guess though, most languages are like that anyway.
