I think it's a good idea to have some type of logo or banner (I've
done so for Sasxsek), but the Pangea logo is a bit too complex. The
symbol I chose (A common symbol for "Earth") for my language is
actually something that can be found in many Unicode fonts so it can
be rendered in a lot of cases without needing a graphic. My
suggestion is that whatever you choose keep it simple.
